General Terms and Conditions of JŠ Jill
1. JŠ JILL
JŠ JILL, Company ID: 75936763, VAT ID: CZ8652270737 (hereinafter referred to as ‘JŠ’), provides language education services. These terms govern the contractual relationship between JŠ and the student of language courses and are binding for the parties involved. The goal of JŠ is to provide students with the highest quality educational services.
2. Lessons
In our lessons, we emphasize all language skills. Courses are either general or focused on a specific goal and are divided into several levels. The basic teaching unit lasts 45 minutes (1 teaching unit = 1 lesson). For annual courses, we guarantee 33 lessons and a maximum of 10 students per group.
3. Enrollment in the Course
The contractual relationship between JŠ and the student is established based on the order, i.e., the registration form. The student may withdraw from the course in writing or by email within the period specified for the proper payment of the course fee mentioned in point 4 of this contract. Cases of withdrawal after the proper payment of the course fee are governed by point 5 (Cancellation Policy).
4. Payment
Tuition fees can be paid either by bank transfer or in cash at the JŠ office. The full tuition fee or a part of it, as specified in the Tuition Installment Agreement, is due on the date indicated on the order, but no later than one week before the start of the course. The JŠ bank account number is 198448694/0300, and the payment reference number = the student’s birthday. If the student is delayed in fulfilling the obligations from the order, JŠ may charge a late fee of 0.1% of the overdue amount for each day of delay.
5. Cancellation policy
The conditions for canceling enrollment in a course are as follows:
a) Enrollment in a course can only be canceled in writing or by email.
b) Cancellation of enrollment before the start of the course – cancellation fee: 50% of the course fee.
c) Cancellation of enrollment after the course has started – cancellation fee: full course fee, except in cases of permanent long-term deterioration in the student’s health, relocation outside the region, or changes in work hours/school schedule, provided that supporting documentation from the relevant organization/authority is submitted.
d) JŠ reserves the right to cancel a group with fewer than 6 students and offer the student the option to join another group at the same level of proficiency or refer to point g) below, or explore other solutions based on mutual agreement.
e) JŠ reserves the right to make changes to the courses (such as changes in teachers, classrooms, or teaching materials) and to switch to online platform in case of restrictions or closure of JŠ as mandated by the Czech government.
f) If a course is changed or canceled, the student will be informed without delay.
g) In the event that a course or part of it is canceled by the language school, the student is entitled to a proportional refund of the paid tuition fee.
h) In the event of a partial or full refund of the tuition fee, the amount will be transferred to the customer’s account within 14 days upon request.
i) The cancellation terms and fees apply in cases where the language school has provided the student with the opportunity to attend the language course according to the requirements specified in the registration form.
6. Missed Lessons
a) JŠ does not provide any financial or other compensation for a student’s absence from lessons.
b) JŠ respects the dates of official school holidays announced for the region. No lessons will be conducted on these days unless otherwise agreed and approved by all participants.
7. Certificate
Each student who attends at least 70% of the course lessons is eligible to receive a certificate of course completion. The certificate is issued upon written or verbal request and is not provided automatically.
8. Lesson Materials
The student explicitly acknowledges that any materials provided by the language school (JŠ) are subject to intellectual property rights. To this end, the student expressly agrees to refrain from any actions that would, without the prior consent of the rights holder, infringe upon these rights, particularly by making copies or reproductions of the materials.
9. Termination of Contract
a) The language school may withdraw from the contract due to insufficient enrollment in the course. Students who paid earlier will have priority. The payment date is defined as the date when the course fee is credited to the language school’s account or when the cash payment is made at the school’s office. In cases where payments are made on the same day, priority is given to students who ordered the course earlier.
b) The language school reserves the right to withdraw from the contract with a student and cancel the student’s participation in the course without compensation if the student, through their behavior, threatens the property or health of other course participants, or the school’s staff and teachers, or if they significantly disrupt the course proceedings.
c) The language school is also entitled to withdraw from the contract if the student fails to pay the agreed course fee within the specified payment deadline.
10. Changes to Terms and Conditions
All changes to these terms and conditions will be made in writing and with the consent of the parties involved.
11. Data Protection
a) The language school (JŠ) declares that all personal data provided by the student will be collected and processed solely for the purposes of providing services within JŠ. The school commits to handling this data in accordance with Act No. 101/2000 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data, Act No. 480/2004 Coll. on Certain Services of the Information Society, and other relevant provisions of the Civil Code and European Union regulations. We affirm that all personal data is confidential, its processing is necessary for fulfilling this contract, and it will not be otherwise disclosed or provided to third parties except in connection with the purpose of this document.
b) By submitting the application, the student agrees, in accordance with the above-mentioned data protection laws, to the processing of all their personal data provided in the application by JŠ for the purpose of establishing a contractual relationship and for JŠ’s marketing purposes. The student also consents to receiving information via email and to recording (photos, videos) of lessons and school events for educational or promotional purposes of JŠ. This consent is granted for the duration of the contractual relationship and for an additional 2 years after the end of the relationship.
c) The student confirms the above conditions by signing the application form (Binding Online Registration Form).
