What will you learn?
The course focuses on developing the essential Czech language skills you need at A1 level:
- speaking and communication in common everyday situations
- understanding simple conversations, questions and instructions
- reading short and practical texts
- writing simple messages, forms and short texts
- essential A1 grammar and vocabulary
- improving pronunciation and speaking confidence
You will learn how to communicate more independently in Czech in everyday situations. We will practise topics such as family and relationships, work, shopping, food and restaurants, housing, travelling, health, free time and everyday life in the Czech Republic.
You will gradually expand your vocabulary and grammar and learn how to create your own sentences, ask and answer questions and take part in simple conversations.
Basic knowledge of Czech is required. This course is suitable for students who already understand and use some simple Czech words and phrases and would like to continue developing their skills towards A1 level.
Our lessons take place in small groups, giving every student plenty of opportunities to speak, practise Czech, ask questions and receive individual support from the teacher.
